HIP HOP
Stephen “5th Child” Brown is a hip hop artist, community organizer, and entrepreneur from Jackson, MS.
In September 2022, Stephen purchased an abandoned building in his neighborhood and converted it into an arts and community center called Briarwood Arts Center (BAC). BAC provides a space for artists of various disciplines to learn and grow as entrepreneurs, while offering mentorship and coaching to sharpen their creative skill sets.
R&B / SOUL
Summer Joy is part of a new wave of artists reshaping Nashville’s sound, bringing Alternative R&B and soul to the forefront of a city long defined by country music. Raised in Columbia, Tennessee, her music blends neo-soul, jazz textures, and intimate storytelling with striking emotional depth.
Following her debut single “Bum Boy,” she built momentum with her singles “honey,” “Psilocybin,” and “Love’s Letter,” leading into her debut EP, Lessons in Love.
A captivating live performer, she has shared stages with Moses Sumney, YOLA, and Leon Thomas. Named one of ASCAP’s Top 25 Artists to Watch, Summer Joy is redefining modern soul in real time.
SOUL
Born in Jackson, Mississippi, and raised between Greenville and New Orleans, Tonya Boyd-Cannon makes soul music steeped in the culture of all three. Her voice moves easily from smooth and sultry to powerful and raw, redefining the genre as she goes.
A gifted storyteller, she’s performed on major stages worldwide—NBC’s The Voice, the Essence Music Festival, and international jazz festivals in Colombia.
Offstage, she pours into the next generation: as an adjunct professor in Tulane University’s Black American Music department, a vocal instructor at the Heritage School of Music, and founder of the Rise My Child Foundation—giving back to her students, her community, and her craft.
COMEDY
Mark Gregory has quickly become one of comedy’s rising stars. His ability to perform for churches, corporate events, and comedy clubs alike sets him apart and keeps him in demand. Though he’s the nephew of comedic legend Dick Gregory, he has carved out his own path—appearing on Aspire TV’s We Got Next and FOX’s One Mic Stand, and performing at the world-famous Apollo Theatre and the TBS Just For Laughs comedy festival.
In 2020, he toured the country hosting the Rebirth of Comedy tour featuring Akintunde and David Mann (aka Mr. Brown). In 2021, he headlined a 7-day USO tour across Germany for U.S. service members.
His most recent special, Run With It, streams on Amazon and Apple TV. In 2024, Mark joined the writers’ room of the CBS sitcom Poppa’s House, starring Damon Wayans.

BLUES
Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter D.K. Harrell, one of the most formidable young stars of the current blues resurgence, sounds like no one else on the scene today. Now, with his Alligator Records debut album, Talkin’ Heavy, D.K. Harrell cements his place among the leading voices of the new generation of blues players. This Blues Music Award-winning guitarist with a soul man’s voice and a well-earned reputation as a mesmerizing live performer delivers fresh, emotion-packed blues informed by the tradition he loves and played with the foot-pounding fervor of a revival tent preacher.
D.K. Harrell was born D’Kieran Harrell in Ruston, Louisiana in 1998. He first heard B.B. King at age two and responded by singing along. He sang in his church choir as a boy while continuing to be drawn to the blues. He received his first guitar at 12, and by 16 was writing his own songs.
